How I work
Hi, I'm Sara
With over 20 years’ experience in inclusive education, I support children and families to make sense of behaviours that are often misunderstood.
My background spans mainstream and specialist settings, working closely with children with autism, ADHD, and complex emotional needs.
With my own lived expericance as an ADHD'er, I bring a calm, non-judgemental approach, helping you understand your child and practical steps to move forward with clarity.
About Anchor & Unfold
Anchor & Unfold was born from both professional experience and personal insight.
Over many years working with children across mainstream and specialist settings, I saw how often behaviour was misunderstood, and how children’s needs were framed through a lens of compliance rather than understanding. I became increasingly drawn to approaches that prioritise emotional safety, regulation, and connection.
Alongside this, my own lived experience deepened my understanding of how vital it is for children and the adults supporting them to feel grounded, supported, and truly seen.
Anchor & Unfold reflects this philosophy, creating spaces where children can feel anchored in safety, and supported to unfold in their own way. This work is not about fixing children, but about understanding them.
Ready to Talk?
You are not overreacting.
You are not missing something obvious.
Sometimes, you just need the right lens and the right support to see things clearly.
The first consultation is a space to listen, understand your child or student, and explore what support might help in a warm, non-judgmental environment.
✔ We’ll talk about your child
✔ We’ll explore what’s feeling hard right now

This work is not about fixing children, but about understanding them. If you’re unsure where to begin, a parent consultation can be a gentle first step. You don’t need to have everything figured out. We simply start with understanding your child and what’s feeling difficult right now.
